Making decisions can be a challenging and overwhelming process, especially when the choices we face have long-lasting consequences. Such was the case for me after high school, when I had to choose between two paths — BTech or BCA/BSC CS. At the time, I felt like I was standing at a crossroads, with each option offering its own unique set of advantages and disadvantages.
Despite my initial indecision, I eventually made a choice and enrolled in a BCA program, which I believed would be the simplest and most accessible computer science degree for me. However, as time went by, I began to question my decision and wonder if I had made the right choice. The thought of what could have been if I had chosen the other option plagued me, and I couldn’t help but regret my decision on which university to attend.
The experience of studying at this university has been quite challenging, to say the least. With a history of putting students through rigorous tests and exams, it’s no surprise that my journey here has been no different. The three-semester exams, for example, were completed in just three months, with two of them separated by only a week, and the third exam announced only one week in advance. Despite the grueling schedule, the results have yet to be released, leaving us in a state of uncertainty about our future. It’s a confusing mix of emotions, as I find myself feeling both sad and angry about the situation. On one hand, I’m disheartened by the difficulty of the exams and the pressure they put on us. On the other hand, I can’t help but wonder what my life would be like if I had chosen a different university. Would I have had a brighter future? Would I have faced less hardship? These are questions that continue to linger in my mind, as I navigate the tumultuous waters of university life.
Today, I’d like to focus on the lessons I’ve learned from a close friend who has been a constant source of support and motivation in my life. She is truly a treasure, always ready to celebrate and encourage me, no matter how big or small my accomplishments may be. When I shared my worries and concerns with her, she helped me see the progress I had made and reminded me of all that I had achieved. Her positive and uplifting attitude has made a lasting impact on me, and I am grateful to have her in my life.
